Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be delighted with all of your discoveries from design menagerie! Yet if a purchase is not exactly as you’d hoped, you may return it for an exchange or refund, minus any shipping (and handling) charges. Should your order arrive in a million pieces, please do let us know right away! Email a photo of the broken item and shipping carton so we can file a claim with the shipper and send you a replacement item right away.
Please contact us at email@example.com within 5 business days of receiving your order to request a return authorization.
Returns must be pre-authorized—we will not accept returns without a return authorization. All returns must arrive back to us within 10 days of your receipt. Return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility. Returns received after 10 days or in less than perfect condition are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Returned merchandise must be delivered to us unused, in its original packaging, and in the condition it was received. Shoes/boots must be unworn, in original packaging with original tags attached. Shoe boxes must be free of damage and placed inside a shipping carton when returned. Bedding must be unopened in its original packaging. We cannot accept returns on bedding once removed from its original packaging. Towels and linens must be unused and unwashed.
We do not accept returns on the following items: sale items, food items, beauty & apothecary products, magazines & books, and one-of-a-kind or limited edition artisan items like Vive La Difference bags. All sales of these items are final and non-refundable.
Please note that we have a strict return policy for all H+ clothing purchases. We work with small independent designers that produce their line to order and our inventory is very limited. Therefore, we can only offer an exchange or store credit for any returns, no refunds will be permitted, and a return authorization is required. Please contact us within 5 business days of receiving your order to request a return authorization. Returns must be pre-authorized—we will not accept returns without a return authorization, and we will not authorize returns after 5 days of your receipt. All returns must arrive back to us within 10 days of your receipt. Return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility as described below. We only accept returns on clothing that has not been worn, with tags attached, in the condition it was sold. We inspect each piece thoroughly before shipping it out. If we see any signs of wear or damage we reserve the right to reject the return, and will send it back to you without issuing a store credit. All H+ clothing items purchased on sale are final and non-refundable.
All return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility and we are not responsible for any damages or returns lost by the carrier of your choice. We recommend insuring your package for the full purchase amount, and using a carrier that allows you to track your package. Please package your item safely, preferably in the shipping carton it arrived in, using all original packaging materials. If necessary, add padding to ensure its safe return. Returns received in less than perfect condition are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Once we receive and approve your return, we will refund the original purchase price minus any shipping costs.

Orders usually ship within 1-2 business days of when the order was received, via UPS Ground. If there is an unforeseen delay we will notify you by email. Most orders arrive at their destinations within 5-7 business days. In a hurry? Many smaller packages can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days). Please add a note to your order if you are requesting USPS Priority Mail. For P.O. box addresses we only ship via USPS.
For an extra charge we can expedite the delivery of your order. For 3-day delivery add $15, for 2-day delivery add $20 to the standard shipping & handling rates listed in the chart below. If you’re really in a pinch and need an item pronto, please either call the store directly at 413-551-7528 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be happy to quote you the actual cost to ship your urgent items overnight, which will depend on the weight and size of your order.

Some oversized or heavy items are subject to a shipping surcharge in addition to the regular delivery charges. The additional charge is listed on the product detail page and in the shopping basket where applicable.
We are always excited to get international orders, and are happy to ship to any destination worldwide. Please contact us via email at email@example.com regarding international orders so we can quote you the cost of shipping your items to far-flung destinations. Note that some oversized or heavy items cannot be shipped outside the continental US. All international orders are shipped via USPS International Priority Mail and can take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive, depending on your location and time of year. International custom and import duties are the responsibility of the recipient and not included in the shipping quote.
6.25% sales tax is collected on all orders shipping within the state of MA.

We do not share your personal information with any third party. If you sign up for our design menagerie newsletter you will be receiving occasional emails from us to update you about new product releases or special events, and you can unsubscribe or opt out from receiving such emails at any time. Additional information we collect is strictly used for processing your payment and shipping your order.
Protecting your personal information is very important to us. We use a PCI (Payment Card Industry) approved credit card processing company and all orders are transmitted over secure internet connections using SSL encryption technology. Additionally we undergo quarterly security scans through the PCI Security Standards Council to ensure we are fully compliant with their strict DSS (data security standard) requirements.
