Lola Hat Spinner With Black Stitching
The Spinner is not for the timid. This hat will get you all the attention you crave! It’s made from a narrow raffia tape that’s zigzagged edge-to-edge for flexibility. A cotton thread is inserted between the stitches to create a colorful 5 ½” border. The deep, back-dipping brim provides plenty of sun coverage, and the hat is so flexible you can wear it while lying on the sand. When you travel with the Spinner, just roll it up like your yoga mat and stick it under your arm as though you’re a Frenchman carrying a baguette…
Lola Hats combine artisanal techniques with ingenious design for luxurious hats that are super chic and supremely comfortable. Designer Lola Ehrlich was born in Holland but grew up in Paris. She moved to New York where she worked as a crafts designer, textile conservator and magazine editor. She opened a shop specializing in one-of-a-kind hats. All of her hats are made with vintage blocks or new blocks handcrafted by an Italian artisan based in Paris who regards each wooden mold as a unique creation. Each hat is stretched on a block and then steamed and pressed by hand. Trims are sewn on by hand in Lola’s Bushwick, Brooklyn studio.
